Principal Secretary (Power) and Chairman of UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Sanjay Agarwal, a 1984-batch IAS officer, has been given the charge of the three authorities for now.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav issued the order to this effect following a rap from the Allahabad High Court, which stopped him from delivering his duties as the CEO.

Raman was appointed by the Mayawati government in 2010.
