PM ModiAs a reward for effectively implementing Central Government’s priority programmes, like Digital India, Swachh Bharat Mission and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Narendra Modi, Prime Minister (PM) of India will confer awards to bureaucrats from both Centre and states.

The Prime Minister will hand over the awards on April 21, the day that is observed as Civil Services Day.

The award, carrying a citation and cash prize, will be given to recognize and reward the central and state government officers for their innovative and outstanding works.


This is for the first time a new category of “excellence in implementing a priority programme” has been introduced to the PMs awards. The theme of 10th Civil Services Day is “Transforming India–Reform to Transform”.

“Modi will present awards to civil servants for excellence in implementation of priority programmes of the government of India namely Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY), Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Swachh Vidyalaya and Soil Health Card Scheme,” a press release issued  by the Ministry of Personnel, said.
