CCTVs to be installed in over 3,700 DTC buses

DTCDelhi Government has decided to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in DTC buses, as part of measures to strengthen women’s security.


According to report, CCTV cameras would be installed in over 3,700 DTC buses, including 1,275 air-conditioned ones.

Transport minister Gopal Rai said that government will start the process of installing CCTVs within two months.

Afterwards, the government reportedly will also install CCTV cameras in cluster buses operated by Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS).


As per plan, three CCTV cameras will be installed in each bus.
