IAS officer P Krishnamurthy has been appointed as Private Secretary to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Krishnamurthy, a 1997 batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, is presently working as Resident Commissioner at Goa Sadan.

He has been appointed for a five-year period or on co-terminus basis with the Minister’s tenure, an official order issued today by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
