Sutirtha Bhattacharya has been selected for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Coal India Limited (CIL) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on November 18, 2014. As many as 12 persons were interviewed for the same. Bhattacharya, who is presently Chairman of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), belongs to 1985 batch IAS officer of Telangana cadre.
