Swadheen Kshatriya, senior IAS officer of 1980 batch, has assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. Kshatriya is scheduled to retire in January 2017. He succeeds J S Saharia, a 1978 batch IAS officer, who was appointed in November last year.
