National Summit on e-Knowledge Started

Raman  Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh inaugurated the 4th edition of National e-Knowledge Sharing Summit on November, 5. The 2-day long summit will be held at Hotel VW Canyon in Raipur by Computer Society of India (CSI) and Department of IT, Chhattisgarh Government jointly.

The summit will witness Mr. Satish Babu, chairman of CSI; Mr. Sunil Kumar, Chief Secretary, Chhattisgarh; Mr. Rajiv Gauba, Additional Secretary, DeitY and Prof. B S Sahay, Director of IIM, Raipur as speakers. Various decision-makers from national and multinational companies are also expected to participate in the summit.

Talking about the summit,  Mr. Aman Kumar Singh, Secretary of IT Department, Chhattisgarh said every year CSI felicitate state governments, departments and schemes actively working in the field of e-Governance He also added that many state government schemes have been awarded by CSI. “Chhattisgarh was awarded the best e-Governance state award in 2011 by CSI,” Singh informed.

The e-Knowledge summit aims at having resourceful discussions on currently on-going projects in e-Governance worldwide. It will also be a platform to prepare a strategy for transparent and better government in the country. Microsoft, Digital Globe, Samsung, PWC, Dell, TCS, CMC, Wipro, Airtel are some of the participants in the summit. The Summit will also be attended by secretaries of Department of IT  of several states, CSI’s State chapter of various States and students wing along with faculty member and IIMs and IITs alumni.
