MCD to deploy 8000 kiosks

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) announced that it would deliver Government to Citizens (G2C) through 8,000 kiosks in Delhi. The proposal for the same was approved recently. The project is expected to fetch approximately INR 300 crores to the MCD and would create job opportunities for the youths.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) announced that it would deliver Government to Citizens (G2C) through 8,000 kiosks in Delhi. The proposal for the same was approved recently. The project is expected to fetch approximately INR 300 crores to the MCD and would create job opportunities for the youths.

This initiative will foster the provision of both public and private sector services under one roof. This would help in saving time of consumers from visting various government and public sector offices for getting information.

The tenders for the project has been floated and the kiosks will be given on built operate and transfer basis against advertisement rights.

MCD has also developed an online web-based working and information system for its engineering department. The system provides information on construction and maintenance, tendering, stores, technical lab, quality control, planning and monitoring building, establishment and court and arbitration cases.
