The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam is planning to expand the use of information technology in 2008 with the building e-Government services.

The Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam is planning to expand the use of information technology in 2008 with the building e-Government services.

The ministry will accelerate the development of its information technology (IT) network and diversify its services as well as speed up IT application across-the-board. In the year 2007, Vietnam has added 19.5 million new telephone subscribers. Now the country has 46.94 million phone subscribers, or 55.5 subscribers per 100 people of which mobile phone users account for 75 per cent. After ten year, Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest Internet use.
