WiCity is a free city wide wireless network, which allows users with wireless capable devices such as PDAs or laptops to access the Internet free of charge. The city offers free Internet access at zero cost, to improve the quality of life for citizens. WiCity will also allow cities to set up separate channels for emergency dispatches, city workers, or field crews producing additional communication savings. Citizens and tourist in Niagara Falls can now connect to the Internet from any wireless device to locate restaurants or entertainment venues and keep up on current events. City workers and field crews can withdraw information from databases anywhere in the downtown area.
