Dubai Municipality leads for eGovernment Services

Dubai eGovernment has commended the efforts of Dubai Municipality on its plan to observe a 'Municipality without Visitors' week under its strategy for 2007. 

The 'Municipality without Visitors' week is aimed to promote the use of eServices in Dubai, complementing the government's vision of providing 100 per cent of its services online. The first phase of the 'Municipality without Visitors' will be launched in June, while the second phase of the 'Municipality without Visitors' will begin in July. The 'Municipality without Visitors' week is aimed to demonstrate the concept of a government without paperwork or queues which constitute the essence of an eGovernment in its best form. Dubai Municipality is aiming to provide 100 per cent of its services online by the end of the year. Dubai eGovernment has been conducting studies to evaluate the level of electronic transformation in the different government departments in Dubai. More than 90 per cent of government services are online and the electronic transformation rate is approaching the 100 per cent point.
