State Government allows IT players to set IT hub in Hubli, Karnataka (India)

The State Government has allowed for allotment of 50 acres of Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation's (HDMC) land at Rayapur. HDMC has sent the proposal to the state government for the allotment of land between Hubli and Dharwad. According to the proposal, the land has to to be given to IT players, TCS and Quest. The entire land will be allotted to IT/ITeS companies recommended by a committee constituted for the purpose by the HDMC. Bangalore-based electronics software design company Sankalp Semiconductors, and NS Infotech, a BPO willstart-up operating from Hubli.
