Tamil Nadu (India) launches Treasury and Accounts website

State Government has launched a Treasury and Accounts website to provide information regarding state treasury transactions in Tamil Nadu (TN), India.

Tamil Nadu Government has launched the Treasury and Accounts website www.tn.gov.in/karuvoolam to provide all information regarding state treasury transactions, including salary and pension of government employees. State Finance Minister K Anbazhagan launched the website. Approximately 12 lakh state government employees would be able to check their status of their salaries credited in their bank accounts. The On Line Bill Passing” system of 1999 is changed into “Automated Treasury Bill Passing” system in 2003. The website will lead the e-Governance in the state and also bring coordination among government departments, including central government offices.
