According to Al Shair, a member of the Dubai eGovernment executive team and the director of e-Services, e-Government needs more number of people to use e-Services.

 

Dubai e-Government has processed 36,000 transactions with the value of Dh14 million in 2005. Till now, approximately 66,000 transactions have been already made done worth of Dh45 million. It is expected that the value of transaction would reach up to Dh60 million by the end of the year. Currently there are 24 government organizations under the Dubai eGovernment umbrella at this year's Gitex. Currently 46 online e-Services are available. According to Yousif Shams, head of the system development and support sections for Dubai Municipality's IT section, people are taking benefits from e-Government for their business. The public is very much interested in technology. Currently Dubai e-Government is working with the TRA to provide easier access to broadband internet access, including the possibility of having broadband classified as a utility.
