India expects to collect INR 350 billion from the auction of third-generation (3G) radio spectrum, scheduled to happen by December this year. The auction would allow telecoms firms to offer services such as high-speed Internet and video downloads on mobile phones. The government had initially aimed to get INR 200 billion.

India faces yet another online security ‘threat’

It is not Google Earth but Wikimapia which is the biggest concern of security agencies. It is called Wikimapia. The website, which derive its name from Wikipedia, combines high resolution satellite and mapping imagery created by Google Maps and the easy interactivity of Wikipedia.
