This year, the National e-Governance is going to expand with the introduction of two new categories. In addition to six categories, the Government of India decided to award exemplary work in a ‘focus sector’ which would be selected every year.
The Government of India is implementing the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) with the vision to make all Government services accessible to the common man in his locality, through common services delivery outlets. In this regard, the government has identified 27 Central, State and Integrated Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) have been identified under the NeGP to ensure availability of e-Government services.
e-Governance is an important tool for providing effective, transparent and responsive administrative matters delivery system, according to BR Kundal, Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Government of Delhi along with the Survey of India and the National Mapping Agency has recently launcehd the Delhi State Spatial Infrastructure (DSSDI) project.th November, 2007, by . An outcome of a pilot project of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, the DSSDI project will help the state government to provide better disaster management and security covers of valuable infrastructure.
