The Central Mine Planning and Designing Institute (CMPDI), a Coal India subsidiary announced the use of satellite based surveillance system to monitor mining and land reclamation activities for all opencast mining projects under the CIL command area.
Coal India will launch e-Auction for forwards contracts coal from March 28, 2008 to offer mostly high-grade coal from underground mines.
The credibility for high profit of Coal India Limited (CIL) last year can largely be attributed to the success of e-Auction.
