Microsoft has launched a new solution for managing the Indian Panchayati Raj system, called SWARAJ during Government Leadership summit in Delhi. The solution addresses the information needs for all the five tiers of Panchayati Raj which include Ministry of Panchayati Raj at the Central Level, Panchayati Raj Departments at State level, District Administration at the District level, Panchayat Samitis/BDOs at the Block and Gram Panchayats at the Village level.
In an effort to reach out the masses, Delhi’s district and lower courts have come with a Hindi website also. This initiative was taken up by the Hindi Karyanvan Committee (Hindi Implementation Committee) and it would be inaugurated on December 3, 2007.
