In a fresh administrative development, the Tamil Nadu government has implemented a significant reshuffle with key appointments across departments. On Tuesday, Additional Chief Secretary and 1992-batch IAS officer Pradeep Yadav was appointed as secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, as per the order from Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam. K. Gopal has been designated as the new secretary of the Higher Education Department.

IAS officer Rajesh Lakhoni, also from the 1992 batch, will assume the role of Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management, succeeding P. Amudha, who held the position in an additional capacity. Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo will temporarily take over as Secretary for Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries, and Fishermen Welfare.

Further changes include C. Vijayaraj Kumar, who will now oversee Human Resources Management in addition to his current role as Secretary of BC, MBC, and Minorities Welfare. Nanthakumar has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of TNEB and Tangedco.

Other notable appointments include V. Amuthavalli as Secretary of the Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles, and Khadi Department, Dharmendra Pratap Yadav as Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation Limited, and S. Swarna as the State Project Director of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan. E. Sundaravalli and R. Lilly will take up the roles of Commissioners of Collegiate Education and Social Welfare, respectively.

Additionally, Vishnu Chandran has been named Director of Employment and Training, while R. Lalitha will serve as the Director of Textiles. These changes are set to enhance governance and drive developmental initiatives across Tamil Nadu.
