Kuldip Narayan appointed Managing Director of NCRTC

In a recent bureaucratic development, Kuldip Narayan, IAS, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, has taken on the role of Managing Director at the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Having served as the Government Nominee Director at NCRTC since December 2022, Mr Narayan brings a wealth of experience to his new position.


A member of the 2005 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the Bihar cadre, Mr Narayan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.

At MoHUA, he spearheads the Housing for All / Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) program, among other responsibilities.

Furthermore, Mr Narayan serves as a Nominee Official Director in both the National Housing Bank (NHB) and the Housing & Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO). His previous roles include serving as District Magistrate in several districts in Bihar, as well as holding positions such as Chairman of the Bihar State Bridge Corporation, Managing Director of Bihar State Milk Co-Operative Federation Ltd, Managing Director of Bihar State Water Board, and Patna Municipal Commissioner.

In recognition of his commitment to public service and integrity, IIT Kanpur honored him with the Satyendra Dubey Memorial Award in 2015.
