The Rajasthan government on Monday night transferred as many as 61 officers in a major administrative reshuffle. In a swift series of decisions, 22 IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officers, along with 15 IFS (Indian Forest Service) officers, were reassigned to various posts across the state. Notably, 24 IPS (Indian Police Service) officers were also part of this comprehensive shuffle.

A noteworthy aspect of this transfer order is the reorganisation of key leadership roles in 14 out of the recently demarcated 17 districts. In these districts, the directive mandates the appointment of only Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) to the positions of Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs).

Among the prominent changes, Neeraj K Pawan, a seasoned IAS officer from the 2003 batch, has taken the helm as the Banswara Divisional Commissioner.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mohan Lal Yadav, an IAS officer of the 2008 batch, assumes the role of Sikar Divisional Commissioner. Vandana Singhvi, another accomplished officer from the 2008 IAS batch, steps into the role of Pali Divisional Commissioner. Noteworthy is the appointment of Shruti Bhardwaj, a dedicated officer from the 2013 batch who previously served as the director of insurance and provident fund; she now takes on the mantle of Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Neem Ka Thana.

Prakash Rajpurohit, a 2010 IAS batch officer and the Jaipur Collector, has been entrusted with the added responsibility of overseeing Jaipur Rural district. Similarly, Himashu Gupta, a 2012 IAS batch officer and the Jodhpur Collector, has been assigned the additional charge of Jodhpur Rural district. Alpa Choudhary, an IAS officer from the 2014 batch (RAS-1996), who previously served as the Secretary of the Housing Board, has been reinstated to the same position.

Simultaneously, Vishram Meena and Harjilal Atal have been designated as special officers in Jaipur Rural, which has recently been delineated from Jaipur and Jodhpur.
