Major Administrative Reshuffle in Punjab, Kamal Kishore Yadav made Secretary Education & CEO, Bureau of Investment Promotion

In a major bureaucratic arrangement, the Punjab government on Wednesday reshuffled 37 administrative personnel, including 15 IAS, as well as the deputy commissioners of Mansa and Malerkotla.

According to the orders, Kumar Rahul has been promoted to secretary of the jails department, while Kamal Kishore Yadav has been promoted to secretary of education and CEO of the Bureau of Investment Promotion. Arshdeep Singh Thind will take over as Punjab’s tax commissioner from Yadav.

As per the instructions, Shruti Singh, who formerly served as secretary of revenue and rehabilitation as well as resident commissioner of Punjab Bhawan in New Delhi, has been promoted to secretary of personnel, secretary of vigilance, and secretary of general administration in lieu of Kumar Rahul. She will continue to serve as resident commissioner at Punjab Bhawan in New Delhi.

Special principal secretary to chief minister Ravi Bhagat, who is also secretary of the Punjab Rural Development Board, has been given the duty of secretary of innovative and renewable energy sources to fill a vacancy.


Sandeep Hans has been promoted to special secretary, personnel, while Girish Dayalan, managing director of Markfed, has been appointed director, governance reforms and public grievances.

Sanyam Aggarwal, deputy commissioner of Malerkotla, has been appointed as joint managing director-cum-CEO of the Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company to fill a vacancy.

General Pallavi of Bathinda will now be Malerkotla DC.DC Mansa Rishi Pal Singh has been appointed Jalandhar municipal commissioner, while Khanna ADC Parambir Singh has been appointed Mansa DC. Rahul, the municipal commissioner of Bathinda, has been appointed as Amritsar municipal commissioner replacing Sandeep Rishi.

Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke has now been posted as ADC Khanna whereas Chandrajyoti has been posted as SDM SAS Nagar. Among PCS officers, Dalwinderjit Singh will be the officer on special duty to the chief minister in place of Sukhjeet Pal Singh.
