SVR Srinivas becomes Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA

The Government of Maharashtra, on June 3, issued an official order to appoint SVR Srinivas as Metropolitan Commissioner (MC), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Srinivas, a 1991-Batch IAS officer, is currently serving as Principal Secretary, Housing Department, Maharashtra.

Along with Srinivas, Mahesh Pathak and Milind Mhaiskar were also considered for the post. The orders came as the extended tenure of RA Rajiv (Retired IAS) ended on Monday, May 31. However, on his last day, the Rajiv inaugurated two flyovers named Rajnoli and Durgadi.
