Karnataka Govt. transfers 5 IPS officers

The Government of Karnataka, on February 16, gave approval to a minor administrative rejig in the state resulting in the transfer of five IPS officers.


Bhaskar Rao (IPS 1990-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Railways, Bengaluru.

Prashant Kumar Thakur (IPS 1992-Batch) has been transferred and appointed as ADGP, Lokayukta.

Dr Alikana S Murthy (IPS 1992-Batch) will be assuming the charge of ADGP & MD, Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation, Bengaluru.

Dr K Ramachandra Rao (IPS 1993-Batch) will take over as ADGP, Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force.


Jeji Arun Chakravarthy (IPS 1995-Batch) has been made ADGP, Internal Security Division.
