Centre reshuffles charges of 13 IAS officers

Following an official order issued, on October 3, regarding a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the Central bureaucracy, 13 IAS officers have been transferred and appointed new charges.

  1. Sanjay Malhotra has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. Malhotra was serving as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power,

  2. Vijay Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Textiles has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles. *

  3. Atul Kumar Tiwari has been given the charge of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.


  4. Kailash Chand Gupta, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, will now take up the charge of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

  5. Chandra Shekhar Kumar has been allotted the charge of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj.

  6. Vineet Joshi has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education. He has also been given the additional charge of Director General of NTA.

  7. Hukum Singh Meena has been made the Additional Secretary in the Department of Land Resources.

  8. VL Kant Rao, Additional Secretary, Department of Defense Production, has been made the Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defense.

  9. Manohar Agnani has been given the charge of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

  10. Sanjay Jaju has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Defence Production.

  11. Vivek Kumar Dewangan has been given the charge of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power.

  12. Neerja Shekhar has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

  13. Vishwajeet Sahay has been posted as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Department of Science and Technology.
