Punjab’s bureaucratic rejig: 4 IPS officers transferred

Amidst a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Government of Punjab issued orders for transfer and posting of 04 IPS officers in the state on Tuesday, September 30.

  1. Vivek Sheel Soni (2011-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sangrur.

  2. Sandeep Kumar Garg (2012-Batch IPS) will be assuming the charge of SSP, Jalandhar (Rural).

  3. Charanjit Singh (2013-Batch IPS) has been transferred and posted as SSP, Ludhiana (Rural).


  4. Sartaj Singh Chahal has been made Superintendent of Police (SP), PBI SAS Nagar with the additional charge of SP, Counter Intelligence Punjab, SAS Nagar.
