Punjab Govt transfers 4 IAS officers

The Government of Punjab, on September 29, gave a nod to a minor administrative reshuffle involving the transfer and posting of 04 IAS officers in the state.

  1. Anurag Agarwal (1990-Batch IAS) has been allotted the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home Affairs and Justice. Agarwal will be taking up the charge that was earlier held by Satish Chandra (1985-Batch IAS), who is set to retire on September 30, today.

  1. Anirudh Tewari (1990-Batch IAS) has been made ACS-cum-Financial Commissioner, Development and in addition ACS, Food Processing. Tewari has also been given the additional charge of ACS, Horticulture and ACS, Governance Reforms & Public Grievances.

  1. Rahul Bhandari (1997-Batch IAS) has been posted as Secretary, Higher Education & Languages with the additional charge of Resident Commissioner (Investment Promotion & Industrial Liaison), Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi. The additional charges of Secretary, Water Resources and Mission Director, Directorate of Ground Water Management (Department of Water Resources) has also been allotted to Rahul Bhandari.

  1. Rahul Tiwari (2000-Batch IAS) is to assume the charge of Secretary, Employment Generation & Training with the additional charge of Mission Director, Punjab Skill Development Mission. Tiwari has also been given the additional charges of Commissioner, Roopnagar Division, Roopnagar and Nodal Officer, Anti Drug Abuse Campaign (Department of Home) and also the charge of Secretary, Home Affairs. Besides these, Tiwari will also be holding the charges of Secretary, Science Technology & Environment and Mission Director, Tandrust Punjab.
