5 IAS officers transferred in Maharashtra

In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Government of Maharashtra transferred five senior IAS officers on February 20.

According to a statement from the General Administration Department (GAD), a 1986-Batch officer Manu Kumar Srivastava, former Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Revenue, Registration and Stamp Duty has now been appointed as the Additional Chef Secretary of Revenue and Forest Department.

Nitin Kareer (1988-Batch) replaced Srivastava as the new Additional Chief Secretary Revenue, Registration and Stamp Duty. Kareer formerly held the position of Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department.

The former Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department IS Chahal, a 1989-Batch officer, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary to Urban Development Department.


B Venugopal Reddy (1994-Batch) has been given the charge of Principal Secretary, Industry, Energy and Labour Department. Reddy formerly was Principal Secretary, Revenue and Forest Department.

Further, a 1996-Batch IAS officer Sanjay Khandare, has been appointed as Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, the statement added.
