Ritu Maheshwari, 2003-Batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Noida authority.

The appointment was made as per the major bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh recently. At present, Maheshwari is serving as the District Magistrate (DM) of Ghaziabad.

Ritu Maheshwari will replace Alok Tandon (1986-Batch), who will continue to serve as the Chairman of Noida Authority. On the other hand, Maheshwari will be replaced by Dr Ajay Shankar Pandey (2005-Batch), who is at present the DM of Muzaffarnagar.

Prior to her post as Ghaziabad DM, Maheshwari has held posts like Vice Chairman, Agra Development Authority; General Manager (HR), Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (RECL); Special Secretary, Medical, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Mission Director, UP Skill Development; Director, Medical & Health Service, Uttar Pradesh; Managing Director, Kanpur Electricity Supply Company (KESCO) among others.

A BE in Electrical Engineering, Maheshwari has been awarded Gfiles Excellent Contribution Award for her efforts in spearheading a much needed transformation in power supply companies across the country.
