Dana Kishore to head GHMC, Janardhan Reddy to lead HMDA

The Government of Telangana has appointed M Dana Kishore as the new Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

B Janardhan Reddy, the current Commissioner of GHMC will take charge of Hyderabad Municipal Development Authority.

He had taken charge of GHMC in 2015. “My dream was to increase the Swachh ranking of Hyderabad. I wish our city bags a better rank in the next award session,” said Reddy.


He was recently awarded the Swachh award by Nava Bharath Infrastructure Conclave in Mumbai.


Dr B Janardhan Reddy is also the programme chair of National Alternate Conclave to be held on Aug 27-28.

Kishore, a 1996 batch IAS officer, will also hold his current charge of the Managing Director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). He will be overseeing the completion of  projects under Mission Bhagiratha in the villages around Outer Ring Road.  He is also holding the charge of Secretary of Minorities Welfare department.

Incumbent HMDA commissioner T Chiranjeevulu will take charge as Inspector General of Registration and Stamps department.
