Paperless Administration, Not a Distant Dream

In the third phase of e-Governance in South Goa district, the administration plans to link the 72 talathi offices with digital network, thereby enabling a paperless office.

In the third phase of e-Governance in South Goa district, the administration plans to link the 72 talathi offices with digital network, thereby enabling a paperless office. As per the district administration, all the talathis of the 72 revenue villages of the South Goa district administration have been provided with notebook computers and “village suite” software will be launched shortly. National Informatics Centre (NIC) is the agency developing the software. Reportedly, the South Goa district administration has already networked the deputy collectors` offices in all talukas with the citizens` facilitation centre (CFC) at the Margao collectorate.
