Wipro Infotech, the India and Middle East IT business of Wipro Ltd, has bagged the number one slot among India's Green Brands and also one of the Top 5 Global Green Brands in the world as reported by the latest edition of Greenpeace's 'Guide to Greener Electronics' ranking, released recently.
The company's rankings moved up largely due to its continued commitment to energy efficiency and its e-Waste management programmes for its customers. Evaluated under stringent ranking criteria, Wipro crossed the half-way mark and scored 5.5 out of 10 to regain the top position in the sixth Indian version of Greenpeace Guide to Greener Electronics.
