‘Best e-Government Initiative’ Award to DNRD, Dubai

Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) was handed the 'Best e-Government Initiative' Award at the Arabian Business Awards for 2008.

At DNRD, currently 60% of the services are being provided electronically and its hoped that by end of 2010 all services will completely go online. DNRD is a government entity that offers a vast array of e-services dedicated to simplify customers' procedures and reduce queuing in all DNRD offices and external centres spread across the emirate. Key e-services include the e-form specifically designed for downloading entry permits applications, and e-dnrd set for applying and issuing electronic visas. Another award winning service offered by the DNRD is 'Amer', a free service that was launched in March 2007 to receive and sort out all enquiries, suggestions and complaints 24/7 in a fast and confidential manner.
