The UP State Agro Industrial Corporation Ltd is planning to launch a series of Agri Marts across Uttar Pradesh, India. The Agri Marts are basically rural malls, which will fulfill the needs of farmers.
These malls will cater the needs of farmers, who are looking for an entire package of farm implements, seeds, fertilisers, tractors and veterinary products available from a centralised shopping facility. These malls are being planned to extend the rural reach of a slew of agro-based products being manufactured by UP State Agro Industrial Corporation in the State. The Corporation is planning to establish the first Agri Mart in Hardoi on January 20 with two more retail formats being planned in Hapur and Gorakhpur. The corporation is also planning to tie-up with NAFED for its funds as well as help in national agricultural marketing.
