In India, Chhattisgarh Government is putting all its land records online.

The State Government has implemented an ambitious programme to put all land records on a LAN-based system, accessible to common people through trained revenue officials at the grassroots level. According to Revenue Secretary Alok Shukla, the government has allocated 1,500 computers to tehsildars and patwaris across the state. The government is expecting to connect 3000 patwaris and tehsildars with an online system. Initially the project is launched to curb corruption in revenue offices and to establish an up-to-date land record status.
