The State Government is planning to refurnish ICT policy in the early part of the next financial year in Orissa, India.

 

The State Government has already engaged Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) to prepare a comparative study of the best practices, which are adopted and the incentives and concessions that are offered to the sector in States like West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan and Puducherry. According to office resources Orissa is emerging as a preferred regional hub of IT companies. Major IT players, like Infosys, Satyam and TCS have already set up operations in the state. It is expected that final fiscal would be announced in early 2007-2008. Orissa is expected to register a four-fold rise from the present level of around 12,000.
