Prasanna Ramaswamy G Transferred from J&K to Lakshadweep

The Government of India has transferred Prasanna Ramaswamy G, IAS (AGMUT: 2010) from Jammu and Kashmir to Lakshadweep with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on August 11, 2026, the transfer has been approved by the competent authority. Ramaswamy will serve in Lakshadweep until further orders.

Transfer Takes Effect Immediately

The latest order marks Prasanna Ramaswamy G’s movement from the Jammu and Kashmir administration to the Lakshadweep administration.


The transfer has been made with immediate effect, and he will take up responsibilities in the Union Territory as directed by the competent authority.

Order Issued by Ministry of Home Affairs

The official communication was issued from Kartavya Bhavan-03, New Delhi, under file number 14020/04/2022-UTS-I.

The order was signed by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India.

New Assignment in Lakshadweep

With the transfer, Prasanna Ramaswamy G will now be associated with the administration of Lakshadweep.

The move is part of the Centre’s administrative arrangements for the Union Territories and will remain in force until further orders.
