The Telangana government has announced a fresh administrative reshuffle, transferring several senior IAS officers and assigning them new responsibilities across key departments. The changes, notified on Friday, are aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative coordination in important sectors, including the Chief Minister’s Office, Environment, Revenue, Industries, Tourism and Disaster Management.


The reshuffle includes new postings as well as the assignment of full additional charges (FAC) to several officers to ensure the smooth functioning of departments.

N. Sridhar Appointed Principal Secretary to Chief Minister


One of the key decisions in the reshuffle is the appointment of N. Sridhar as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.


Previously serving as Principal Secretary (Mines & Geology), Industries & Commerce Department, Sridhar has now been entrusted with one of the most significant administrative assignments in the state government. His new role is expected to strengthen policy coordination and governance in the Chief Minister’s Office.

Shailaja Ramaiyer Gets Environment and Forest Department

Senior IAS officer Shailaja Ramaiyer, who was serving as Principal Secretary (Endowments), Revenue Department, has been transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary, Environment and Forest Department.

In addition to her new responsibilities, she will continue to hold the Full Additional Charge (FAC) of the Endowments Department and serve as Director General, Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI).

Key Appointments in General Administration and Disaster Management

The government has appointed Ahmad Nadeem as Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (Political) and Minorities Welfare Department.

Meanwhile, Rahul Bojja has been posted as Principal Secretary, Disaster Management, Revenue Department. He will also continue to hold the Full Additional Charge of Principal Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department.

The appointments are expected to strengthen administrative coordination in governance, disaster preparedness and welfare programmes.

New Responsibilities in Mines, Industries and Chief Minister’s Office

M. Raghunandan Rao, who is serving as Secretary (Commercial Taxes and Excise), Revenue Department, has been given Full Additional Charge as Secretary (Mines & Geology), Industries & Commerce Department.

In another important move, B. Ajith Reddy, who was serving as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Invest Telangana, where he will oversee investment promotion and industrial development initiatives.

Tourism and Prajavani Get New Leadership

The reshuffle also brings changes to the Tourism Department.

K. Vidyasagar, who was serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Secretary, has been appointed as Director of Tourism.

He has also been entrusted with the Full Additional Charge as State Nodal Officer, Prajavani, relieving D. Divya of the additional responsibility.

The appointment is expected to strengthen tourism promotion as well as the state’s citizen grievance redressal mechanism.

Additional Charge for TGRPDCL Chairman

In another decision, Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui, currently serving as Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited (TGRPDCL), has been given the Full Additional Charge as Vice Chairman and Managing Director (VC & MD) of TGREDCO.

The additional responsibility is aimed at ensuring continuity in the functioning of the state’s renewable energy and power-related initiatives.

The latest reshuffle reflects the Telangana government’s continued efforts to deploy experienced officers in strategic positions across key departments. By assigning additional responsibilities and making targeted transfers, the government aims to improve administrative coordination, accelerate policy implementation and strengthen governance across sectors.
