Key Appointments Announced

Among the new appointments, Preetinder Singh Padda (IP&TA&FS: 2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) for a tenure of four years.

Rajesh Panwar (IES: 2012) has been appointed as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for a period of five years. His appointment is expected to strengthen policy and administrative functions related to industrial development and investment promotion.

In another significant posting, Surendra Kumar Jha (IPS: 2010: Jharkhand cadre) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General in the Border Security Force (BSF).

Focus on Governance and Institutional Strengthening

The appointments reflect the Centre’s continued effort to place experienced officers in key positions across strategic departments and institutions.

While the appointments in DPIIT are expected to support policy initiatives related to industry and economic growth, the posting of Surendra Kumar Jha to the BSF is seen as strengthening leadership within one of the country’s key border security forces.

The latest decisions form part of the government’s regular administrative process aimed at ensuring effective governance and institutional efficiency across departments.
