Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth around ₹135 crore for multiple development and welfare projects across the state. The approvals cover key sectors including education, infrastructure, heritage conservation, administration and public welfare.

One of the major decisions includes the release of ₹84.89 crore as the second instalment for the financial year 2025–26 under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. The amount will be used for reimbursement of tuition fees for students studying in private schools under the RTE framework, ensuring continued educational support for children from economically weaker sections. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure transparent and timely utilisation of the funds.

The state government has also approved several infrastructure-related projects across districts. These include ₹79.87 lakh for completion of the under-construction Mountain Development Building in Sitarganj, Udham Singh Nagar, and ₹20.41 lakh for construction of a shed at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Khatima.

In a push towards heritage conservation and tourism development, the government sanctioned ₹49.86 lakh for construction and beautification of the Nag Devta Temple in Virad village of Dhanaulti, Tehri Garhwal. Another ₹98.59 lakh has been approved for improvement works at Surya Devi Temple in Palaithi Bangar, Devprayag, while ₹35 lakh has been allocated for restoration and beautification of historic buildings in Dantu village of Dharchula, Pithoragarh.

The Chief Minister also approved funds to strengthen administrative and security institutions in the state. These include ₹2.75 crore for the Dr. R.S. Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration, ₹7.57 crore for the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, ₹35.74 crore for various police department establishments, and ₹1 crore for the Home Guards Department.

In another important decision, the government approved naming the Moln–Khandah–Bhintai motor road in Pauri Garhwal after martyr Kamala Singh Negi as a tribute to his sacrifice and contribution to the nation.

With these approvals, the Uttarakhand government aims to accelerate development projects, strengthen public infrastructure, support education and preserve the state’s cultural and historical heritage while improving administrative efficiency across departments.
