Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Summit 2026 on Thursday at Bharat Mandapam, formally launching one of the largest global gatherings focused on artificial intelligence.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will participate in the opening ceremony beginning around 9:40 a.m. and deliver his address at approximately 10:25 a.m. The inaugural session is also expected to include addresses by Emmanuel Macron and Antonio Guterres, along with leaders from the global technology and industry sectors.
Ahead of the ceremony, Modi will welcome participating world leaders at Bharat Mandapam, followed by a family photograph of dignitaries. After the inauguration, he will visit the India AI Impact Expo, where country pavilions will showcase advanced AI-driven innovations and emerging technologies from across the world.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to join the Leaders’ Plenary session around noon, bringing together Heads of State, ministers and multilateral representatives to discuss AI governance, infrastructure expansion and frameworks for international cooperation. Later in the evening, he will attend a CEO Roundtable with top global industry executives to deliberate on investment opportunities, research partnerships and large-scale deployment of AI solutions.
The summit aims to shape collaborative strategies to harness the transformative potential of artificial intelligence while promoting responsible governance and cross-border partnerships. It brings together global policymakers, technology experts and industry leaders to explore AI’s role in economic growth, governance and social development.

This edition is the fourth in the summit series, following earlier meetings in the United Kingdom (2023), South Korea (2024) and France (2025). The platform is intended to foster dialogue on the ethical, economic and societal implications of AI while strengthening cooperation across technology, trade and innovation ecosystems.
