The Government of Uttar Pradesh has transferred two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and six Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers in a fresh bureaucratic reshuffle affecting key state departments and district-level administrative positions. The changes, announced late Tuesday night, include postings in roles such as Sub-District Magistrates (SDMs), Additional District Magistrates (Judicial), and City Magistrates, aimed at strengthening governance and administrative efficiency.

Senior IAS officer V. Hekali Zhimomi (1996 batch) has been appointed as Principal Secretary of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, taking charge of environmental governance, forest management, and climate-related policies. Senior IAS officer Anil Kumar-III has been relieved from the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department, and will continue as Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department.

At the PCS level, Rajesh Chandra has been transferred from SDM, Ghazipur, to Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Mainpuri, while Vikas Yadav has been appointed SDM, Ambedkar Nagar. Brijpal Singh has been moved from SDM, Deoria, to Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Lakhimpur Kheri. Rajesh Kumar Mishra has been posted as Secretary, Ayodhya Development Authority, and Sanjeev Kumar Upadhyay has been transferred as City Magistrate, Ayodhya. Archana Agnihotri has been appointed SDM, Mau.

According to Principal Secretary, Personnel and Appointments, M. Devraj, the reshuffle is intended to streamline administrative functioning and ensure effective policy implementation across departments and districts. The reassignments are expected to improve coordination, strengthen public service delivery, and support governance at both the state and local levels.
