The Chhattisgarh government has announced a large-scale administrative reshuffle, transferring and reassigning 14 IAS officers. The move, issued by the General Administration Department, reflects the state leadership’s strategy to strengthen governance and realign bureaucratic roles across key departments including education, finance, energy, and district administration.
Key Appointments and Transfers
- Renu G. Pillay (1991 batch) – Appointed Chairman, Board of Secondary Education, with additional charge (earlier Chief Secretary, Science & Technology and Chairman of Vyapam).
- Subrat Sahu (1992 batch) – Named Director General, Chhattisgarh Academy of Administration, with additional charge as Chairman, Revenue Board, Bilaspur.
- Sonmani Bora (1997 batch) – Assigned additional charge as Principal Secretary, Tribal Welfare and Science & Technology departments.
- Dr. Rohit Yadav (2002 batch) – Appointed Secretary, Energy Department and Public Relations Department, replacing P. Dayanand.
- Avinash Champawat (2003 batch) – Appointed Secretary, Religious Trusts and Endowments Department.
- Mukesh Bansal (2005 batch) – Given additional charge of Finance Department while continuing as Chief Minister’s Secretary and Secretary, Aviation Department.

- Jitender Yadav – Appointed Collector, Rajnandgaon district, replacing Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhuren who has proceeded on central deputation.
