Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has set a benchmark in public grievance redressal. Over the past eight years, more than 5.5 crore complaints have been addressed, demonstrating the government’s commitment to effective governance and public welfare.
The state government’s proactive approach is evident in its implementation of the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) and the Jansunwai Samadhan App. These platforms have significantly enhanced public access to grievance resolution mechanisms. On average, nearly six lakh cases are registered monthly, with an impressive 98% resolution rate. The efficiency of the system has reinforced public trust and streamlined administrative functioning.
One of the key initiatives in this regard is the ‘Janata Darshan’ program, where the Chief Minister personally listens to grievances and ensures their timely resolution. This direct engagement with citizens highlights his dedication to addressing public concerns promptly and effectively.

As per official records, 5,57,41,208 cases have been registered through IGRS and the Jansunwai Samadhan App in the last eight years. Out of these, 5,52,51,899 have been successfully resolved, showcasing the government’s commitment to ensuring citizen satisfaction.

To further facilitate public grievance redressal, the state launched the CM Helpline 1076 in 2019. This initiative allows citizens to directly communicate their concerns to government officials, ensuring a swift and effective response. Additionally, the helpline number 9454404444 was introduced to establish direct communication with the Chief Minister’s office. These measures have significantly empowered the people of Uttar Pradesh, providing them with direct channels to voice their concerns and obtain timely resolutions.

Beyond grievance redressal, the Yogi Adityanath-led government has successfully transformed Uttar Pradesh from a struggling state into a thriving economic powerhouse. Speaking at a press conference in Lucknow on March 24, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the remarkable progress the state has made over the past eight years.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies of “service, security, and good governance” for Uttar Pradesh’s resurgence. Before 2017, the state was classified among India’s ‘BIMARU’ states—an acronym referring to underdeveloped regions. However, under the current administration, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a key driver of the nation’s economy, excelling in multiple sectors.
The Chief Minister highlighted the drastic improvements in the agricultural sector, which had been previously neglected. Before 2017, farmers in Uttar Pradesh faced significant hardships, with a declining agricultural sector. However, with the implementation of crucial reforms under the “double-engine government,” the situation has changed dramatically. The state’s agricultural growth rate, which stood at approximately 5% in 2016-17, has now risen to over 13.5%.
A key turning point in the state’s economic revival was the government’s decision to waive farmers’ loans worth ₹36,000 crore in its first cabinet meeting. This move alleviated financial distress among farmers and contributed to a sharp increase in food grain production. In 2016-17, food grain production was recorded at 557 lakh metric tonnes; this figure has now increased to over 668 lakh metric tonnes, marking a growth of nearly 20%.
The transformation of Uttar Pradesh has also been acknowledged at the national level. President Droupadi Murmu recently emphasized the state’s crucial role in both economic and spiritual development. Under the Yogi government, infrastructure, investment, and industrial growth have flourished, making Uttar Pradesh an attractive destination for businesses and investors.
With continuous efforts towards governance reforms, economic growth, and public service efficiency, the Yogi Adityanath-led administration has set new benchmarks for development. As the government enters its ninth year, it remains committed to further enhancing the state’s progress and ensuring that Uttar Pradesh continues to play a pivotal role in India’s growth story.
