Job Market

The ‘Future of Jobs 2025’ report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) reveals transformative trends shaping India’s employment landscape. Key drivers such as increased digital access, geopolitical shifts, and climate mitigation efforts are set to redefine job roles by 2030.

Indian companies are leading in adopting artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and autonomous systems, with 96% actively implementing AI programs, surpassing the global average of 88%. Emerging roles like Big Data specialists, AI and machine learning experts, and security management professionals are identified as the fastest-growing job categories.

To address evolving workforce demands, Indian employers are embracing skills-based hiring practices, moving away from conventional degree requirements to unlock diverse talent pools. Globally, the WEF projects a net increase of 78 million jobs by 2030, with 170 million new roles created and 92 million displaced.

This shift highlights the urgent need for workforce upskilling and adaptability to navigate the dual forces of technological innovation and climate action shaping the future of work.
