Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced a major AI infrastructure project in Hyderabad, with TCS subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited securing 264 acres to develop a large-scale AI data centre campus with capacity of up to 1 GW.
The project is expected to involve investment of up to ₹70,000 crore by HyperVault and its partners, positioning Telangana as a major destination for AI and advanced digital infrastructure.
Large-Scale AI Campus
The proposed campus will be designed to support frontier AI companies and hyperscalers, with high-density GPU infrastructure for AI training, inference and other advanced computing requirements.
Development will take place in phases, based on customer demand and evolving technology needs. At full capacity, the campus is expected to be among India’s largest and most advanced AI infrastructure facilities.
Green Energy and Water-Neutral Approach
The data centre campus will incorporate green energy and water-neutral design principles. Its infrastructure will include technologies suited for high-density AI workloads, including liquid cooling and high-capacity power systems.
The project is also expected to create several thousand direct and indirect employment opportunities and generate demand across power, cooling, networking, engineering, construction and operations.
Revanth Reddy Calls Project Historic
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described the project as significant for both Telangana and India, noting that access to AI computing capacity is becoming increasingly important for the digital economy.
IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the project reflects Telangana’s focus on faster investment approvals and building a business-friendly environment for technology companies.
He also noted that the partnership emerged from a conversation between the Chief Minister and N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, during the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos in January.
TCS and HyperVault Leadership on AI Infrastructure
K Krithivasan, CEO & MD, TCS, said the project advances TCS’ infrastructure-to-intelligence strategy by combining AI-ready infrastructure with its cloud, engineering, enterprise transformation and AI capabilities.
Deepesh Kiran Nanda, CEO and MD, HyperVault AI Data Center Limited, said the facility will be built around the requirements of next-generation AI, including higher-density computing, liquid cooling, larger power blocks and faster deployment.
Strengthening Hyderabad’s AI Ecosystem
The HyperVault campus is expected to serve as more than a data centre, creating supporting opportunities across the wider AI infrastructure ecosystem.
