The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved a project proposal for the development of infrastructure for an Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (IMLC) in Sultanpur under the Industrial Corridor Scheme.
The cluster will be developed near the Purvanchal Expressway at an approved cost of ₹272.25 crore. The expenditure on the construction works will be borne by the state government, with no financial participation from the Central Government proposed or expected under the project.
Following the Cabinet approval, a global bid will be invited for the selection of the construction agency. Work on the project will begin after completion of the selection process and is expected to be undertaken within a defined timeline.

The proposed IMLC is expected to support industrial and manufacturing activities in Sultanpur by providing infrastructure and logistics facilities. Its proximity to the Purvanchal Expressway is expected to provide connectivity for movement of goods and support logistics operations.
The development is also expected to facilitate investment and industrial activity in the region and create direct and indirect employment opportunities. With the establishment of industries within the cluster, the project could strengthen the local industrial base and provide employment opportunities for people in Sultanpur.
