Second Extension for Ravi Kota

Dr Ravi Kota had earlier received his first extension from May 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026.

Since taking over, Dr Kota has been leading the state administration and coordinating the functioning of various departments and implementation of government priorities.

Continuity in State Administration

The further extension provides continuity at the highest level of Assam’s civil administration.

With Dr Ravi Kota continuing in office until April 30, 2027, the state government will retain the experience of a senior IAS officer for the coming months while various administrative and development programmes remain underway.
