Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 147 development projects worth ₹1,344 crore, marking a major push to strengthen governance and improve public infrastructure across the state.
Of the total projects, 72 projects worth ₹707 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 75 projects valued at ₹637 crore.
The projects span several critical sectors, including roads, drinking water supply, irrigation, education, healthcare, tourism, and urban development. These initiatives are aimed at improving public service delivery, enhancing connectivity, and expanding access to essential services for citizens across Uttarakhand.
In the road and connectivity sector, the projects are expected to improve transportation infrastructure and facilitate better access to remote and hilly regions. Drinking water and irrigation projects are intended to ensure reliable water supply and strengthen agricultural support systems.
Education and healthcare initiatives are focused on enhancing institutional infrastructure and expanding access to quality services. Urban development projects will support the creation of better civic amenities, while tourism-related works are expected to strengthen the sector’s infrastructure and contribute to local economic development.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the state government is committed to balanced and inclusive development across all regions of Uttarakhand.
He stated that infrastructure development remains a key governance priority, with a focus on improving connectivity, strengthening public services, and ensuring that the benefits of development reach citizens at the grassroots level.
The ₹1,344 crore development package reflects the Uttarakhand government’s continued emphasis on governance-led growth, efficient implementation, and the creation of robust infrastructure to support long-term socio-economic development in the state.
