In a fresh administrative reshuffle, the Sikkim government has transferred three IAS officers and assigned new responsibilities across key departments and districts, aiming to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency.

The order, issued by the Department of Personnel on April 30, 2026, outlines changes in district leadership and departmental roles.

Key Transfers and New Appointments

As per the official notification:

  • Tushar Gajanan Nikhare, District Collector of Gangtok, has been transferred as Secretary, Planning and Development Department
  • Agawane Rohan Ramesh, District Collector of Pakyong, has been posted as District Collector of Gangtok
  • Pari Bishnoi, previously Deputy Resident Commissioner at Sikkim House, New Delhi, has been appointed as District Collector of Pakyong

Pari Bishnoi Moves to Key Field Role

The appointment of Pari Bishnoi marks an important step in her administrative career as she takes on a crucial field posting. Moving from a liaison role in New Delhi, she will now handle district-level governance, development initiatives, and disaster management in Pakyong.

Her posting reflects the government’s confidence in her ability to manage on-ground administrative responsibilities.

A Promising Young Officer

Pari Bishnoi, a 2020-batch IAS officer, secured All India Rank 30 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2019. She has held several roles early in her career, including:

  • Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas
  • Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Gangtok
  • Deputy Resident Commissioner in New Delhi

Known for her disciplined approach and strong academic background, she has quickly emerged as a capable officer in administrative circles.

Focus on Governance and Coordination

Officials said the reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to ensure effective deployment of officers in strategic roles. With changes in both district administration and planning departments, the government aims to improve coordination, policy implementation, and service delivery across the state.
